Privacy Policy

DraftPlus is a free, non-commercial League of Legends champion-select helper made by Daniel Edvardsen. It is available as a website and as a Windows desktop app. This policy explains what data DraftPlus uses, why, and how long it is kept. In short: DraftPlus only uses public game data to give you draft recommendations, it has no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking, and it never sells or shares your data.
Data we process
- Riot IDs you look up. When you load a player profile (your own or one you scout), the Riot ID and server you enter are sent to the Riot Games API to find that player's account, champion mastery, summoner level and icon, and recent match history (ranked, normal and quickplay games this season).
- Game data from the Riot Games API. From those matches DraftPlus keeps only a compact summary per game (match ID, champion, lane, win or loss and queue) to work out which champions a player plays. It does not collect chat, email addresses, real names, payment details or any account credentials.
- League client data (desktop app only). The desktop app reads your champion select, live game and end-of-game stats from the League client and game running on your own computer. This data stays on your computer and is never uploaded.
- Settings in your browser. Your preferences (theme, rank filter, recent profile, last game summary and similar) are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. DraftPlus does not use cookies.
- Technical data. On the hosted website, your IP address is held briefly in memory to apply rate limits (it is discarded within a minute and never written to disk). The hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security and operations.
How we use it
Data is used only to provide DraftPlus's features: showing a player's champion pool and mastery, recommending picks and bans, and scouting Clash opponents. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the app, and it is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own use.
How long we keep it
- Player profiles (account, mastery and pool) are cached for up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Match summaries are cached so the same games aren't requested from Riot again; you can ask for a player's cached data to be deleted at any time (see below).
- Rate-limit counters are kept in memory for about one minute.
- Browser settings stay on your device until you clear them (for example by clearing site data).
- In the desktop app, everything is stored locally in
%APPDATA%\draftplusand removed when you delete that folder.
Third-party services
- Riot Games API, Data Dragon and CommunityDragon: game data and champion images.
- Aggregated statistics providers (lolalytics or DraftAnalysis): champion winrate and build statistics. No personal data is sent to them.
- GitHub (desktop app only): checking for and downloading updates.
- The website's hosting provider: serving the site.
These services have their own privacy policies, including the Riot Games Privacy Notice.
Your rights
You can ask what data DraftPlus holds about your Riot ID, or ask for it to be deleted, by opening an issue on the DraftPlus GitHub page. Requests are handled within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
DraftPlus is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
